If you’re a property owner who’s been considering building a shed but doesn’t know where to start, ShedEx Fleurieu’s project at Victor Harbor is sure to inspire you. We’ve built a massive shed that’s perfect for doing (and storing) big things. In this blog post, we’ll give you a closer look at the shed’s dimensions, materials, colours, design, and features. Whether you’re looking to build a shed for your hobby, business, or storage needs, this blog post will show you what’s possible with ShedEx Fleurieu.

Let’s start with the dimensions of the shed. This Victor Harbor build is 20 metres long, 13 metres wide, and has a wall height of 4.2 metres. This gives you a total floor area of 260 square metres, which is ample space for almost any project or storage need. From vehicles to equipment, tools to materials, you’ll have plenty of room to work with.

But a shed is more than just a big box. It’s also important to choose the right materials and colours that match your style and purpose. That’s why we’ve made sure that all materials used are Australian made Bluescope and COLORBOND steel and fabricated right here in South Australia. This means you’re not only supporting local businesses but also getting quality products that are designed to withstand the harsh Australian climate.

As for the colours, a clever combination COLORBOND Classic Cream and Manor Red achieve a classic and stylish look that’s also practical. COLORBOND steel is known for its durability and low maintenance, which means you won’t have to worry about repainting or rusting for years to come.

Now, let’s talk about the design and features of the shed. We’ve placed roller doors on both of the Gable ends of the shed, which means you can easily drive through the shed from either side. The central roller door has a huge clearance (daylight opening) of 4 metres high x 4 metres wide at each end of the shed for drive through access, while the other roller doors are 3 metres high x 3 metres wide. This gives you flexible access options depending on what you need to store or move in and out of the shed.

But a great shed isn’t just about the doors. It’s also about the foundation and roof. For this project, we poured a solid concrete slab with vermin flashing to prevent pests and moisture from getting into the shed. The roof pitch is 15 degrees, which is optimal for rainwater runoff and solar panels. The overall height to the apex is 5.9 metres, which achieves plenty of headroom and ventilation.

With its generous dimensions, quality materials, stylish colours, and functional design, this shed is a testament to what’s possible when you work with a knowledgeable and experienced shed builder. If you’re considering building a shed, we encourage you to explore your options and see what ShedEx Fleurieu can do for you.
