Keeping your project on track

Here’s how your shed moves from “idea” to “keys in hand.”

Every project runs smoother when you know what’s coming next. Your progress payments keep things moving, and each one triggers the next stage — design, approvals, fabrication, concrete, construction, and finally, handover.

We’ll guide you through the whole thing, one step at a time.

Deposit, Plans & Council Lodgement

Deposit Paid → We Get to Work

As soon as your deposit hits our system, we start preparing your certified plans and drawings for council. Most projects take around 10 business days to get these documents ready, depending on the design.

Submitting to Council

Once your development application is lodged, we’ll send you an invoice for the council and certification fees. These aren’t included in your contract price — they vary depending on your council and local rules.

Development Approval

When council gives the green light, we’ll contact you straight away. This is when we lock in your Check Measure.

Final Check Measure

This is the moment to take a breath and double-check everything:
Colours, sizes, windows, doors, the whole lot.
Once we order your materials, changes can’t be made — so we make sure it’s spot on before we hit the go button.

Fabrication Begins & Your Site Gets Prepped

Kick-off for Fabrication

Once the check measure is confirmed, we issue Progress Payment 2. Paying this gets your materials into production.

Fabrication normally takes 3–6 weeks, and once everything arrives, we store it safely at our depot ready for your build.

Preparing Your Site

Now’s the time for earthworks.
Your site needs to be flat, level and ready for the concrete crew.

We can point you towards reliable local earthmovers, but this work sits outside the contract price unless otherwise specifically included.

Concrete Floor Scheduling

When the site is level, we schedule the slab.
If your ground has more slope or fall than expected, extra concrete may be needed — this gets billed as a Variation, just like the contract explains.

Slab Done → We Lock in Construction

After the Slab is Poured

Once the concrete is down, we’ll issue Progress Payment 3.
Paying this allows us to line up your construction in the calendar.

Please keep people, pets, and vehicles off the slab while it cures.

Construction Starts

Our team builds through almost anything, but if safety becomes an issue (extreme heat, storms, lightning), we’ll pause and reschedule. If that happens, don’t stress — there’s no extra cost for weather delays.

Roller Door Booking

Once the frame is up, we book your roller doors directly with the manufacturer.
This ensures you get the full manufacturer warranty.

Final Inspection

After the roller doors are installed, your project manager will run through the final checks so everything is exactly as it should be.

Practical Completion

Once the shed is finished and inspected, we issue your final invoice.
When that’s paid, your keys will be ready to collect from our office — or we can pop them in the post.

How inclement weather can delay construction

The safety of our clients and employees is our number one priority, and we keep a close eye on inclement weather conditions to determine our construction schedule.

Inclement weather is any climatic condition, that – in our opinion – makes it unreasonable or unsafe to continue working in such conditions. Unlike a house construction (where a majority of the work is done on the inside), with the construction of a shed – about 90% of the work is done outdoors and whilst exposed to the elements.

Our top priority is always safety. We constantly monitor current and forecasted weather conditions to ensure that your shed gets built without harm or risk to you, your family, or our team. As a result of this precautionary approach we take with all projects, the expected completion date can alter slightly depending on these factors.
