As a licensed builder (BLD 236453), we strictly follow the Building Code of Australia’s stringent standards, ensuring every project meets all legal and safety requirements. We recognise the importance of your peace of mind, which is why we have comprehensive insurances, including Workers Compensation, Product/Public Liability Insurance, Contract Works insurance, and Building Indemnity insurance, to fully protect you throughout our partnership.
You can trust our team, as each member has passed National Police Clearances, along with clearances for Working with Children and Vulnerable Persons. We’re committed to providing you with a perfect shed solution, emphasising professionalism, safety, and respect in everything we do.
Regarding licensing and insurance, it’s mandatory for builders like us to have a contractor’s licence and secure Building Indemnity Insurance for projects over $12,000 that require council approval. This insurance protects you against incomplete or faulty work for up to five years post-completion.
During construction, we ensure your project is protected with a Construction Works policy, essential for securing finance from lenders. Additionally, we safeguard your materials by storing them securely until needed on site, minimising risk and preventing any potential damage to your property.

Each shed location presents its distinct characteristics. Thus, it’s essential to consider the use (building class) and the site’s wind speed to determine the right specifications for your shed.
The location of your shed determines its Wind Region, which helps us ensure your shed can weather local conditions. The Importance Level, which is based on your intended use for the shed, is vital for ensuring compliance with the Building Code of Australia.
The Terrain Category is influenced by what surrounds your proposed shed site. The Topography factor considers whether the shed is to be situated on a hill, mid-slope, or a flat site at sea level.
The Shielding factor takes into account whether the proposed site is shielded by permanent structures. Lastly, the Site Wind Speed, expressed in m/s (metres per second), is a crucial factor. Every quotation we provide at ShedEx Fleurieu includes this wind speed and the values of the above factors used to calculate it.

Our sheds come with the assurance of a 15-year product warranty, courtesy of Bluescope Steel. This comprehensive coverage includes protection against corrosion or perforation of materials for a period of 15 years, starting from the installation date.
